What to Expect
First of all, let us assure you that visiting UBC is not a difficult process. In fact, even if you stop reading here and just show up on a Sunday or Wednesday you will do just fine. However, for those of you who like to know exactly what to expect, we have put together these simple instructions to make your first visit an easy process.
Relax. This is the single most important word of advice that we can give to someone new to UBC. We want you to come as you are and be yourself. This means that if you can connect with God more easily in your blue jeans then slap on your Levis. It also means that if slacks and tie helps you focus and prepare for worship then wear that. Our focus is not on who wears what but whether people are connecting with God and with people.
• If you have kids: At 9:30am all children (nursery – 5th grade) have their own Sunday School classes on the 2nd floor of the Education Building. At 10:45 they attend the first part of the service to experience worship with their parents, and then they are escorted back to the 2nd floor where they have their worship time designed just for them called (BIG GIG).
• Middle School and High School students attend the worship services. At 9:30am they have their Bible Study in the Youth Room located on the 1st floor in the center of the Education Building.
• Attending the service: Just enter and sit wherever you feel comfortable. We want you to relax and enjoy the service without fear of embarrassment. We desire for you to have an opportunity to hear about this faith we believe in and decide if it’s for you or not. We encourage you to keep coming to find out more about who Jesus is and why we dedicate our lives to Him. God Bless and we look forward to seeing you soon.
