Louie Giglio: “Worship is our response to what we value most. Whatever is worth most to you is what you worship. How do you know what you worship? It’s easy. You simply follow the trail of your time, your affection, your energy, your money, and your allegiance. At the end of that trail you’ll find a throne; and whatever, or whomever, is on that throne is what’s of highest value to you. On that throne is what you worship.”

Here at UBC, we understand the importance of worship to God, both corporately and privately.  We desire to teach and encourage our congregation each week through participating in bible teaching, music, scripture reading, tithing, and various other elements that help us draw close to the Father.  It is our desire that people would live everyday unto the Lord and worshiping Him through a life of obedience.

Here are a few ways we encourage you to get connected to UBC in though the worship services.

Bible Teaching – Each week, UBC offers many different services that seek to explore the truth present in Scripture.  As part of the LifeChurch.tv network, a vast majority of our Sunday morning services incorporate teaching and messages via video, as well as occasional messages brought by our church leadership and guest teachers .  Our College pastor, Chris Bruce teaches at Midweek Bible study on Wednesday nights, as well as on Sunday mornings in the college Sunday School class.  Lloyd Sutton teaches our jr. high and high school students each week and we also offer other classes for adults and children.

Music – Our music ministry reaches almost every area our our church.  From the Sunday morning worship service to the Wednesday night adult bible study, music is a key tool we use to engage the Fathers heart.  We are always looking for people with a willing heart and a musical gifting to get involved each week.  Please e-mail Kevin Peters to see how you can get involved today.

Scripture Reading – We try to have a time where scripture is being read in the time of worship.  Whether through the message, or in the midst of corporate singing, Scripture is being read and proclaimed.  We believe the Word of God has the power to change lives and wait expectantly each week for God to do amazing things among our congregation.

Tithing – We believe that all we have is the Lord’s and that He desires us to give back a portion of what He has blessed us with.  Each week, we have a time in the worship service dedicated to giving back to the Lord.

Other Elements – We also worship God in many other ways.  Some of those include observing the Lord’s Supper, Baptism, Praying with one another, and spending time in silence before our God.
